matthew,
hey man, i found your blog on lonely planet. i’m in india but me and my friend really want to come to pakistan. i hope it is cool if i ask a couple of questions: how did you go about getting a visa for pakistan, how much was the visa and how safe do you feel over there? any specific things to not miss if we make it there?
Hey,
– I got my Visa back home in Australia and it was around $40US, from what I hear though it isnt too hard to get it from the Pakistani Embassy in Delhi, they might make it a bit harder for you because you are Indian. I’m really not sure.
– I feel totally safe here, there was a bombing here in Lahore two days ago, and it hasn’t really phased any of the travellers. 95% of the time, I think its one of the safest places I have ever been.
– Dont miss the KKH and travelling up North. Its amazing.
You can find all the info you need on the Lonely Planet Thorn Tree forum

Good luck.
Stunning images. Truly beautiful.
Hi, thanks for sharing your images, they are amazing. Would you allow me to use the top one in RS29S009 as a reference photo to paint a watercolour from please? I will obviously give you credit as the photographer. I’m an amateur Watercolorist. Thanks.
Hey Jacuqui, Thanks for the kind kudos. Yeah that’s fine, all the best with the painting, would love to see it when you finish 🙂
